BONDI VET Cookies Policy

What is this policy?

This Cookie Policy explains how Bondi Vet Global Pty Ltd (collectively “Bondi Vet”, “we“, “us“, and “ours“) use cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our websites (“Websites“) or the Bondi Vet platform or other services we provide (“Services“). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, how we use them and your rights to control our use of them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information. There are two broad categories of cookies:

  • First party cookies. Served directly by us to your computer or mobile device.

  • Third party cookies. Served by a third party on our behalf. We use third party cookies for functionality, performance / analytics, advertising, and social media purposes.

Why do we use cookies?

We use first party and third-party cookies for several reasons.

1. Essential cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Websites and without these cookies our Websites would not be able to perform certain necessary functions. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our Websites, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.

2. Functionality cookies. These cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the performance and functionality of our Websites and Services but are non-essential to their use. They are used to recognise you when you return to our Websites. This enables us to personalise our content for you and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).

3. Analytical cookies. These allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Websites work, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

4. Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our Websites, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our Websites and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. Targeting cookies are also used to operate ‘like’ or ‘share’ buttons, which users can click to let other people know that they have found a particular webpage useful or entertaining. Sites such as social networking sites will then recognise these cookies and display your shared content to other users.

How do we use cookies?

We use a number of different cookies and similar technologies in various locations including our website and emails to:

1. Enhance your experience on our Website by remembering your preferences;

2. Support the functioning of our Website (including secure services for online transactions)

3. Track how users use our Website and interact with our advertisements;

4. Understand how our Website is functioning and inform us of improvements to our Website; and

5. Gather data that helps us deliver advertising content relevant to your interests.

When we collect usage information (such as the number and frequency of visitors to our Website and to which pages within the Website), we only use such data in aggregate form and in a manner that assures your anonymity. We may provide this aggregate usage information to our partners who may use this information to understand how often and in what ways users access and use our Website, so that our partners can endeavour to provide users with a better online experience. For example, we may place a cookie on your device or browser that records what products have been accessed on our Website by your browser or device, and then we may provide that information, in de-identified form, to a third party website, to allow that website to serve ads to your browser or device for similar products that are available from us or from third parties. Third parties such as our advertising partners may also transmit cookies to your computer or device when you click on ads that appear on our Website (“Third Party Cookies”). This Cookie Policy does not cover Third Party Cookies.

Web beacon

We may also deliver a file to your browser or device (known as a “web beacon”)through the Website from an advertising network we have contracted with. Web beacons allow advertising networks to provide anonymised, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for us and for advertisers. Web beacons also enable ad networks to serve targeted advertisements to your browser or device when your browser or device visits other websites. These web beacons may, for example, log that you have viewed a certain product on our Website using your browser or device, and then show you an ad for similar products when you browse to another website. Because your web browser must request these advertisements and web beacons from the ad network’s servers, these companies can set, view or edit their own cookies, just as if your browser or device had requested a web page from their site. Many ad networks participate in the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”), a cooperative of online marketing and analytics companies committed to building consumer awareness and establishing responsible business and data management practices and standards, and such NAI members may allow you to opt-out of cookies or web beacons they deliver. Again, we do not control the policies of any third parties, including advertising networks. We do not honour “do-not-track” signals from internet browsers or other consumer choice mechanisms regarding the collection of behavioural tracking data.

Hashed Identities

Hashed IDs will be utilised for the purposes of aggregation (into segments) for marketing purposes (eg to create what we call “look a like audiences” or “Suppression” as examples. They will also potentially be utilised to share with third parties (eg a programmatic platform such as the trade desk) to apply to media targeting.

How can you control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. The means by which you can control your cookies settings varies from browser-to-browser, so you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Websites and Services through your access to some functionality and areas of our Websites and Services may be restricted.

How often is the Cookie Policy updated?

We may update our Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please re-visit the Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
